The Shadow President

The Shadow President

"He's obviously looking at another run and while I'm not sure he'll be the best candidate four years from now, that actually makes me pretty happy. For too long we've treated our former candidates as if they have diseases. We've ignored the contributions they could have made if we'd kept them in the fold and acted very ashamed of our losses like good little Republican-dominated submissives..."

Shadow President. Interesting 2008 nomination strategy. Would have been perfect for Gore 2004, but luckily THAT didn't happen.

It's almost a British approach, where the Opposition Leader has a full Shadow Cabinet and everything. Of course, in the UK they have their internal leadership battle immediately AFTER losing the election, as if we would go straight into the caucuses and primaries NOW and let the next nominee be in the spotlight for four years.

Which of course is exactly what Kerry hopes.
