Chris Dodd will be spending Cinco de Mayo in eastern Iowa:

Noon to 1 at Rendezvous Park in West Liberty for a Cinco de Mayo celebration (the PR notes his Spanish language skills)

1:15 to 2:30 in West Branch, talking renewable energy at the Hoover House. I believe it was former West Branch Times publisher (and `02/`04 Iowa House candidate) Mike Owen who noted the West Branch Jinx: a long-time reluctance on the part of presidential candidates to visit West Branch and tempt comparison to the town's most famous native. It should be noted that Herbert Hoover was a great success at everything he attempted in life with one notable exception.

4:15 to 5:15 Dodd will be in Muscatine, no word yet on venue. Look for live or pseudo-live coverage of one of these.
