One Less Superdelegate

One Less Superdelegate

If you're counting your superdelegates, be sure to only count one senator from Connecticut:
Lieberman's endorsement of Republican John McCain disqualifies him as a superdelegate to the Democratic National Convention under what is informally known as the "Zell Miller rule," according to Connecticut Democratic State Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo.

At least Zell Miller threw a highly entertaining tantrum after endorsing W in `04, but Lieberman will just drone on and on and on and on while he does his martyr act at the GOP convention -- you know he'll be there, because with Joe, it's all about Joe.
Lieberman remains a registered Democrat and a member of the Senate Democratic caucus, but he declared himself an "Independent Democrat." (sic)

Since Connecticut has a closed primary, that means Lieberman couldn't even have voted for McCain Tuesday. It'll be nice when we get a bigger Senate majority next year and can strip Turncoat Joe of all his seniority and assign him to the Select Committee on Irrelevance. How can Connecticut elect a class act like Chris Dodd and at the same time a twit like Lieberman?

And to everyone who gave me a hard time about bashing Lieberman when he was the running mate in 2000: Told ya so.
