Monday Misc

Post-election adjustment to Real Life continues, as you noticed from the post-free Sunday, so just some clips:

  • Here's what Bob Dylan had to say Election Night in Minneapolis (yes, it's subtitled for the Dylan impaired; comments are 0:58 in.)

"I was born in 1941. That was the year they bombed Pearl Harbor. I've been living in a world of darkness ever since. But it looks like things are going to change now."

He then plays, NOT "Times They Are A-Changin," but "Blowin In The Wind." Hey, he's Bob freakin' Dylan, he can do what he wants.

  • For the real political junkies (and if you weren't, then why are you reading this blog?), if you're an Illinois pol, the big deal isn't a president-elect, it's...an open Senate seat! And Rahm's House seat, and maybe Jesse Jr.'s too...

  • Obama trivia, some of which I hadn't heard: apparantly the prez is a geek for Spiderman and Harry Potter. Maybe the Minister of Magic has a secret talking portrait in the Oval Office.

  • Dems target... Texas?!?
