OMB Director Peter Orszag called the President a "super-nerd" which completely misses the subtle nuances between nerds, geeks, and dorks.
As we see, "nerd" implies a social awkwardness that, despite his comic book collection, just isn't applicable to the charismatic Obama. "Geek," on the other hand, is about intelligence and policy wonkishness, and that's a better fit.
Plus you can sing it to Rick James: "He's a super geek! Super geek, he's super geeky, yow." Can't touch this.
