Congressman unapologetic about comment that liberals should be Iraq human shields

Last Friday, Rep. Jim Gibbons (R-NV) excoriated liberals and said it was “too damn bad” the U.S. didn’t buy liberals “a ticket” to become human shields for the “enemy” in Iraq.

“I say we tell those liberal, tree-hugging, Birkenstock-wearing, hippie, tie-dyed liberals to go make their movies and whine somewhere else,” Gibbons said.

UPDATE: Atrios notes that not only is this speech awful, it's plagiarized, too.
