Mike Gravel: way funnier than Dennis Kucinich.



Talking Points Memo asks Gravel's press secretary about it; Gravel's press secretary is surprised people think it's weird.

This is the political spot equivalent of the greatest music video ever, "Bastards Of Young" by the Replacements.



Well, except that the Replacements version is cool. Actually, the Gravel version would be better with the Replacements music... call it "Bastards Of Old." Maybe it's a tribute?

Mash them up yourselves, just push play on both videos (start the Replacements first). Mike Gravel throws the rock well before Paul Westerberg kicks in the speaker. "Willingness to claim us, got no war to name us" indeed.
