While I WORE the raspberry beret to the Iowa City Fed's Labor Day picnic, I decided not to do any truly serious blogging. The picnic's been a father-daughter tradition for a long time and kind of a human being day (OK, in my case a human being day still involves political schmoozing.)
I left before the presidential surrogates started speaking and didn't bother with notes on the speeches. Though the content was fine, most of this is about just showing up. Especially in the local contests; if you're looking for the support, show the support. See and be seen. So if such things matter to you, here's a roll call. (I'll update to add confirmed latecomers...)
And continuing the series of photos of me in silly headgear with politicians:
Dave Loebsack has apparantly forgiven my daughter's Chihuahua for upstaging him at the Coralville 4th of July Parade.
