The big news isn't that Obama named Bill Richardson as Secretary of Commerce. It's that Bill shaved off the post-election, Gore-like beard. Remember when Harkin had a beard for a few months in about 2003?
I had a beard briefly in grad school. A woman was involved. She dumped me, I shaved. I had long hair at the time too, so I looked positively Christ-like.
UPDATE: One wag suggests that Barack should get all Lincoln-y and grow a beard.
I think I said this before but with Biden, Hillary and now Richardson the cabinet is starting to look like a caucus cattle call. Edwards, of course, is screwed, but any suggestions for Dodd?
